These are just a few of the names attributed to Jesus. Wesley Chapel’s FB page is sharing a Names of Jesus Advent Journey – like an electronic advent calendar with the present under the little door being another name for our Lord. Today’s name was Redeemer.

Merriam Webster defines redeemer as one who redeems (I’m always amused at circular definitions). Synonyms were deliverer, rescuer, saver, and savior. Our words have so many meanings. We redeem coupons. We deliver mail. We save time. We use words without really considering their meaning.
