Jesus said, “The people who live today are evil. They want to see a miracle for a sign, but no sign will be given them, except the sign of Jonah.”   Luke 11:29


This is as true today as when Jesus first said it.  Too many say they would believe if they just saw proof! They claim trust and faith in their own senses and clamor for a miracle. Help me God then I’ll believe.

But that insistence is backward. God says to trust first.

How do we help those, especially those we care and are concerned about, who are not blind but cannot see? The world ignores the miracle of the empty tomb. Many call signs of mercy or deliverance, a hoax or a coincidence.

But we can be living miracles. When the world sees the gospel alive in us, when we are a walking, talking testament to the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, we are the indisputable sign. Even if they can’t understand those of us who follow the path of Christ, they are forced to acknowledge our difference.

What sign are you sending to this generation? Are you living a life so different from the world that your actions are a living example of Jesus Christ? Will you be a miracle?
